INIE Atrium Gallery – Call for Submissions of Artwork

The Institute for Nonprofit Innovation and Excellence invites local artists to show and sell their work.

Location and Background:

The INIE Office is located on the top floor of the TCC Center for Innovation, a building originally designed to house the Mary Brogan Museum of Arts. Though the building has undergone significant changes, our office, which once served as the Art Gallery of the Brogan Museum, is well suited for two-dimensional art installations. We have identified an opportunity to establish a local art gallery within our Atrium, a beautifully arched 100 ft. hallway with blonde hardwood floors, white floor to ceiling walls, and an exposed white, industrial ceiling. The Atrium is conveniently located by our elevator entrance and leads directly to our training room, which hosts numerous private events as well as INIE produced public events throughout the calendar year.

Applications are due by 5PM on March 1st, 2020. The Gallery Space will be curated and installed by INIE. Shipping, drop off, and pickup of artwork will be the responsibility of the artist. Artwork will not be released until 6 months after installation.  Packing materials will not be stored onsite.

Criteria for submission and consideration

Only wall-mounted, ready to hang pieces will be considered. Work does not have to be thematic. However, in keeping with the organizations mission, works illustrating ideas related to community, collaboration, or advocacy are highly welcomed (large pieces are encouraged). Applicants are encouraged to represent a culturally diverse population in theme and content. Preference may be given to artists who are members of our organization.

To be considered, artists must meet the criteria listed below:

  • The artist is local to Leon, Gadsden, Wakulla, or Jefferson County
  • The artwork must be a wall-mounted piece and ready to hang
  • Works must be for sale
  • Larger works are encouraged (up to 6’ x 6’)

What to submit

To be considered, artists must meet the above standards of criteria and submit the following for consideration:

  • Artist’s name, address, phone number and email
  • Images of all proposed work to be considered (please submit up to 12 images maximum).
  • Details for each work must be emailed as a Word document, including: Title, year, media, dimensions, and retail price (60/40 split, with artist receiving 60%).
  • Artist’s statement including how work relates to suggested theme (if applicable).
  • All works must be clearly labeled on reverse, including artist’s name, year, media and dimensions.
