Positions Available for Instructors at Hamilton College

Hamilton College has recently begun a search for an Assistant Professor, tenure track position in 3D and Drawing. We will begin reviewing applications on December 1st. Hamilton is a great place to work and offers generous pay, benefits, and research support.

The Art Department at Hamilton College invites applications for a tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor, beginning July 1, 2020. The teaching load for this position is four courses during the first year and five courses thereafter. The candidate will be expected to teach existing courses in our curriculum, including Introduction to Sculpture, Advanced 3D and Material Studies, Drawing, Advanced Drawing, Junior Seminar, and mentoring Senior Project students. In addition, candidates will have the opportunity to teach new courses based on their area of expertise, such as Creative Technologies in Sculpture, 3D Modeling, and/or 3D Animation. The position requires institutional service including academic advising of undergraduate students after the first year. Interest in contributing to a contemporary interdisciplinary setting in a liberal arts college is necessary. Please visit our website to learn more about our department.

We seek candidates with an expertise in sculpture, drawing, and new media. MFA and a minimum of two years teaching experience at the college level required. Our new hire must be able to teach within the traditions of sculpture and drawing and integrate emergent technologies into the curricula.
