FSU Art Major Sam Lang and Alum David Radke on Kickstarter: Meat Men, The Animated Series

Published March 29, 2013

I’m Sam Lang, and I’m a senior in FSU’s Department of Art.  My focus through the past few years of study has been animation, and it has really always been sort of a dream of mine to one day have a cartoon tv show or production studio of some sort.  Right now, an FSU alumni who minored in graphic design and graduated a few years back, David Radke, and myself, are raising funds via Kickstarter.com to produce our project, and one of our main objectives, if our fundraising goal is attained,  is to create a media production studio that will provide internships within Tallahassee to FSU art students.  It is sort of a dream, and there is a lot of logistical work to be done, but we’ve been working very hard on both the business and the art side of things and have a lot of confidence it will work out if we continue our diligence.

We have produced a promo video, which is actually available on our kickstarter page here:

I illustrated and animated this entire video, as well as editing the audio, using the skills I have learned over the years in my various video related graphic design classes at FSU.  If the money comes through in the end i’m hoping to collaborate with fellow animator/student Nate Watson on the project, but this is still up in the air.
