After graduating from FSU with a BFA in studio art in 2009, Betsy Dale graduated from Stetson University College of Law, passed the New York Bar Exam, and is now a fellow at Volunteer Lawyers for the Arts in NYC. Founded in 1969, VLA is the first organization in the country to fully devote its legal services to artists and arts organizations. These services include legal consultations and clinics hosted by prominent NYC law firms, and classes that target legal issues commonly encountered by artists including various types of art and entertainment contracts, stolen art, and legal issues involving insurance, immigration, corporations, landlord-tenant law, and copyright and trademark law.
