FSU Alum Brad Blair’s Upcoming Solo Exhibition and Workshop at Saratoga Clay Arts Center

Baltimore-based artist and FSU Art MFA ’14 Brad Blair, has an exciting solo exhibition coming up at , Saratoga Clay Art Center’s Schacht Gallerylocated just outside Saratoga Springs, NY. The exhibition titled, “A Glimpse Into Beyond,” will feature 25-30 works in all, including 12 ceramic with mixed media sculptures never before exhibited by Blair. The exhibition runs from March 23 – April 27, 2019, with an opening reception scheduled for Saturday, March 23, from 5-7PM.

In conjunction with his solo exhibition, Blair is also hosting a two-day, hands-on workshop at Saratoga Clay Arts Center titled “Unearthly Clay.” This workshop will encourage participants to use their skills and imaginations to build otherworldly works in clay. Various demonstrations and discussions will take place in order to explore the different areas of Blair’s complex creation process. Some of these include throwing closed forms on the potter’s wheel, building and altering slabs on hump molds, glazing techniques, adding non-clay elements into glazed ware, and more The dates for this workshop are Saturday-Sunday, April 27-28, 2019.
