It’s an exciting month for FSU Art MFA ’16 Elise Thompson! This February, she’s included in two group exhibitions opening in Spartanburg, SC and Charleston, SC. In addition to these openings, She’s featured in Friend of the Artist Vol. 8, which will be released Saturday, February 9th! Thompson was interviewed by artist Taylor O. MILLER GALLERY
Alternate Dimensions
Opening Reception: February 8, 2019 | 6-8pm
Artist Talk: February 9, 2019 | 11am-12pm
In Alternate Dimensions, there are no rules: a photograph could become a sculpture while a cupcake might be a few feet tall. This exhibit is Miller Gallery’s love letter to unconventional fine art. Alternate Dimensions will feature three new faces: Elise Thompson, FSU Art MFA ’16 Mar Hester, and Angela Chrusciaki Blehm, who will debut sculptural paintings, photographs, and assemblage pieces. Additionally, Olivia Bonilla will bring a new twist to her whimsical cupcake sculptures. In February at Miller Gallery, Blehm, Bonilla, Hester, and Thompson carry us into another dimension. Miller Gallery is located at 149 1/2 East Bay Street, Charleston, SC 29401. For more info, email info@millergallerychs.com or sarah@millergallerychs.com.
