Austin Yorke’s Drawing Classes Engaged in Interdepartmental Collaborations

Published April 16, 2018

FSU Adjunct Professor Austin Yorke’s Figure Drawing and Experimental Drawing classes have been engaging in interdepartmental collaborations this semester. His class visited the King Life Sciences Building and drew from the preserved specimens they keep for research. Dr. Terebelski  provided the specimens and reserved the conference room for the class to work in. For the dance drawings, they worked with Professor Welliver’s dance course at the Montgomery Building. They will be working with Dr Laywell on April 23 & 24 to draw from cadavers and specimens such as limbs and brains. Yorke’s Drawing 2: Figure in Context class will be doing the same and other interdepartmental collaborations, especially with the medical school and dance school.
