Art Students Awarded 2019 IDEA Grants

Congratulations ! The Center for Undergraduate Research and Academic Engagement (CRE) is pleased to announce  that FSU Art students, Serena Corson and EJ Chang have been awarded 2019 IDEA Grants. Serena Corson won the grant to help her travel to Italy for 3 weeks this summer to study social integration cross-nationally. She’ll will be using photographs, film and drawings to explore the sense of community and the treatment of elders in Sardinia, a blue zone (where there are the most centenarians).

The recipients will be accepting their award on Friday, March 29th, from 3:00pm – 4:30pm in the Great Hall of the Honors, Scholars, and Fellows House. They will present an oral presentation at the President’s Showcase in the fall on October 1st.
