Alum Paul Joachim: Making Art as The Chocolate Genius

FSU Art BFA ’94 Paul Joachim, a.k.a. the Chocolate Genius, has been chosen as the keynote speaker for the Retail Confectioners International Convention coming up on June 4th at the Connecticut Convention Center & Hartford Marriott Downtown. He will be sculpting live and giving the keynote at the same time!  If you are planning on attending, make sure to connect with Paul in person!

In addition, you can see him sculpting live June 22nd at the FCIA semi-annual Elevate Chocolate Event at the InterContinental Hotel Times Square in New York City! (BONUS eat fine chocolate samples and learn all about amazingly delicious, small batch, sustainable, ethical chocolate and sourcing)

He’s currently on the communications committee at the FCIA (Fine Chocolate Industry Association). For those of you that may not know, the FCIA is the only nonprofit organization in the US and EU 100% dedicated to ethical, sustainable, experiential chocolate promotion and development along the entire supply chain. He’s passionate about ethically sourced and sustainable cacao, and only uses chocolate from companies that also believe in the same.

Contributing to others through chocolate is what Joachim is all about. Joachim says “we all express ourselves in different ways, and I’d love to hear how you are contributing in your community, whether in your business or personal. Or, even if you want to share with me what your favorite kind of chocolate is (my go to favorite lately is a Maracaibo 65% dark chocolate from Felchlin! AMAZING!) I’d love to hear that, too!”
