FSU Art MFA Alum Kyra Belan News Update

KBelananEveningatCwJAKyra Belan has been included in the ( organization fighting for women’s  equality), online national exhibition titled
Women’s Rights: An Artist’s Perspective
The exhibition was curated by Karen Gutfreund, Vice President and National Exhibitions Director, Women’s Caucus for Art.
A full color catalog of this exhibition will be available in the near future. The artists were selected for their artistic accomplishments and their on women’s equality or current position in our society.

Kyra Belan at Sylvie’s Artistic Expressions art gallery in Fort Myers

Several paintings by Kyra Belan, including The Portal (parrots in a surreal Florida-inspired landscape) are currently on display at Sylvie’s Artistic Expressions. The gallery is located on McGregor Blvd near Sanibel,  many other amazing artists are also on display.

An Evening at the Cabaret Auction to benefit the Arts for ACT:
Dr. Kyra Belan, a gallery artists from Arts for ACT, donated an artwork, a painting on canvas, to be auctioned off to benefit ACT.

The work was specially created by the artist for this auction, and is inspired by Jane Avril print by Lautrec (appropriately titled At the Cabaret with Jane Avril). ACT is an oThe Portalrganization that supports abused women and their children (victims of domestic violence and human trafficking) in SW Florida.
