Memory Life Manual Index is inspired by Life: A User’s Manual by Georges Perec. The collaborators created drawings based on objects from the novel, lists of memories and former homes, then drawings based on the lists. Wood “type” blocks were then generated for text and image and letterpress printed in a gridded press bed from improvisational compositions. It is accompanied by an index that serves as a reading guide.
