Join us for one of two closing receptions “New Histories: Gadsden Farm Project” at MoFA on November 15th, 5-7pm and November 16th, 6-8pm. “New Histories: Gadsden Farm Project” is an interactive experience featuring local farmers and assembled by FSU Art Professor Holly Hanessian.
The community-based focus of the Gadsden Farming Project will give voice to the people, create a common history, and provide an international perspective on universal motifs. The project is a timely proposal that demonstrates the combined power of community and contemporary practice. Gadsden County once had a thriving agricultural economy, and the museum is thrilled to see farmers coming back to the area to help support the community and address its status as a food desert.
