Tiffany Fried Works on Several Projects as an Intern at Master Craftsman Studio

As an intern at Master Craftsman Studio, I helped with any projects being worked on in the studio. Sometimes there are multiple projects going on at once and other times it’s slower. The staff really encourage the interns to experiment and learn. So far I’ve learned about glass cutting and firing, mold pouring, how to use a lathe, paper molding, and wood finishing. I use free time to sketch and think of new projects. The most memorable moment so far has been going to see the water jet at the materials research lab. It’s an amazing machine. I would definitely recommend the internship to anyone. I’m learning a lot and the studio is full of materials to explore.
