Since 2009, Small Craft Advisory Press has invited a graduate student from The University of Alabama’s MFA in the Book Arts program to serve as resident artist during their thesis year. In addition to producing their creative thesis project at the press, the resident artist also assists director, Denise Bookwalter and visiting artists on collaborative book projects, and teaches one book arts course each semester in the printmaking department at Florida State University.
