Artist Statement
These small-scale paintings offer a window into a poetic interpretation of my mental landscape. They speak of emotions and experiences which linger, spun into intricate behavioral patterns. I allowed intuition to guide the process of layering organic forms, building up delicate woven structures inspired by the plasticity of the brain. This process reflects my desire to make sense of the human condition, interpreting the unseen. Disembodied hands explore a cloudscape of color and delicate webbing, embodying a sense of internal space and abstract thought. I have always associated hands with agency and action, their ensnarement in the web proposes a sensibility of becoming stuck in a pattern of thought.
