Professor Lillian Garcia-Roig’s Work Highlighted at Grace Museum Event

Published September 24, 2020

Lilian Garcia-Roig was invited to partake in a curator-artist talk about work that was recently acquired by the Grace Museum in Abilene, Texas. As part of their Annual Pop Up Grace Gala, the Grace Museum showcases some of the works in their permanent art collection while creating a virtual experience with a featured artist from their collection . This year, Lillian is that artist.

On Saturday, Sept 26, the Grace will air the pre-recorded conversation between Judy Tedford Deaton and Professor Garcia-Roig which will cover details about the making of “Cumulative Nature: Vine, Branch & Root Menagerie,” as well as her 30-year experience as an “almost native Texan,” her Texas schooling and its influence, her current work, and much more. There will be a live, short Q&A during the event as well.
