Published March 25, 2021

On April 29, 2021 at 9 am, the Visual Arts Association invites both UK and international artists to join global award-winning sculptor Jason deCaires Taylor, for a discussion about how artists can gain momentum in their art careers and catch breaks in the new art world.

During this free talk Jason will share tips and inspiring ideas about how you can break through barriers and be empowered to reach new audiences. Whether you are at the start of your art journey or a seasoned professional, join us to hear Jason’s incredible art journey.

Jason deCaires Taylor is a sculptor, environmentalist and professional underwater photographer. Born in 1974, Taylor graduated from the London Institute of Arts in 1998 with a BA Honours in Sculpture. His permanent site-specific sculptural works span oceans and seas across the world. His projects are predominately exhibited underwater in submerged and tidal marine environments, exploring modern themes of conservation and environmental activism. Over the past 14 years Taylor has been one of the first to consider the underwater realm as an public art space and has created numerous large-scale underwater “Museums” and “Sculpture Parks”, producing collections of over a 1000 life-size public works, which are visited by thousands of visitors each week.
