Published June 10, 2021

FSU Art BFA ’07 Damon DeWitt, Middle School Visual Arts Teacher at Windermere Preparatory School and students from the school created a coral reef installation made entirely of plastic bottles. Over 4000 plastic bottles were used. The work is equipped with lighting and sound effects. All middle school students supported this project to raise awareness for the rising sea temps, overfishing, and ocean pollution causing the decline in coral reefs and sea life. The artwork has entered into a Nord Anglia Education’s Global Campus [@naeglobalcampus] competition in partnership with UNICEF.
