About the Exhibition
The Bascom is proud to present the 7th annual Emergence: A Survey of Southeastern Studio Programs.
This exhibition showcases faculty–student pairs to celebrate the role of teaching and mentoring in the development of emerging artists.
This exhibition showcases faculty–student pairs to celebrate the role of teaching and mentoring in the development of emerging artists.
Each submission consists of two works:
* One artwork by the faculty mentor
* One artwork by the student mentee
Eligibility
* Open to any faculty or staff currently employed by an institution of higher learning in the Southeast:
AL, FL, GA, KY, LA, MS, NC, SC, TN, VA, WV
* Selected students must be enrolled in a degree-seeking program at the time of submission.
* Submitted artworks must have been completed in or after 2023.
Entries, Fees & Awards
* Submission is free.
* Each faculty artist may submit 1 entry consisting of 2 works:
* 1 by the faculty member
* 1 by the student
* Each accepted artist (faculty and student) will receive a $100 honorarium.
