Sculpture Lab

The sculpture facilities in Room 107 of the Fine Arts Building (FAB) consist of a woodshop, metal fabrication, plaster room, and an alternative media/installation room equipped with a video projector and a seamless backdrop.  The woodshop is equipped with a SawStop table saw, compound miter saw, band saws, 12-inch jointer and planer combo, Powermatic drill press, belt sander, oscillating spindle sander, two-disc sanders, edge sander, power carving tools, router table, sandblaster, a panel saw and more.  The metal fabrication area is equipped with 3 Mig welders, plasma cutter, chop saw, cold saw, metal grinders, Tig welder, and oxy-acetylene stations.  Metal shaping equipment includes a 50-inch slip roll, tube bender, two brakes, and a foot shear. Fall 2026 Sculpture Lab Open Studio Hours: 

Access to the wood and metal shop varies per semester according to GA schedules.

Monday: 9 am -6:30 pm
Tuesday: 9 am -9:40 pm
Wednesday: 9 am- 6:30 pm
Thursday: 9 am- 9:40 pm
Friday: 9 am- 5 pm
 
The lab will unlock automatically on Sundays from 9 AM to 9 PM, but with no cage access.
 
**Anyone wishing to use FAB 107 during the following class times needs the direct permission of the professor/instructor teaching:
