Amy Fleming has show on Friday at SMALLS Gallery

College of Fine Arts

Amy Fleming will have a one day only show of recent work on Friday, May 20, 4-8pm at SMALLS gallery located at 525 W. 8th Ave in Tallahassee, FL. Fleming will be showing new work made while in residence at The Studios of Key West. Inspired by the natural beauty of the Key’s endangered environment, she created a series of collages that highlight the vibrant life and color of South Florida.

Fleming is an Adjunct Professor of Printmaking at FSU. Her work focuses on age, ageism and environmental concerns.

“There is great beauty inherent in age,” says Fleming. “There is tremendous pressure on our natural environment and our elders brought about by our hyper-novel, hyper-consumerist culture. Let’s work on changing that.”
