Mark Jenkins with The Washington Post reviews Turning Tides, a group exhibition featuring Visiting Assistant Professor, Katie Kehoe. Kehoe of Richmond, VA, photographs a small, ragged wooden pier she erected in an arid Nevada flatland that shows signs of once having been submerged.
Visitors to Turning Tides will experience themes of fear, grief, and resiliency over the looming environmental impacts of human interference. This all-media exhibition features 20 artists, with 7 from the greater D.C. metropolitan region. The exhibition is presented by the Torpedo Factory Art Center’s Target Gallery, runs from July 23 to September 11 and features work centered on exploring the impacts of climate change.
