1 year renewable contract: The Art Department at Sam Houston State University invites applicants for a one-year position teaching Foundations beginning Fall 2013. This position is for a faculty member who will be part of a two-person team to teach in an innovative program.
The WASH (Workshop in Art Studio and History) program teaches students to explore various aspects of contemporary art in both theory and practice. It is the foundation for studies in the visual arts program at the university. WASH is a two-part program including both studio (2D, 3D, time based, and digital art) and a contemporary art lecture component. Courses are taught in a 6000sq/ft. facility designed exclusively for WASH.
