Remembering Chuck Toman

Chuck Toman was head of Sculpture in FSU’s Department of Art  from 1971 to 1976.  He was an Associate Professor when he left FSU to go to the Milwaukee Art Center.

Charles D. “Chuck” Toman. Born December 26, 1931, passed away on October 20, 2012. His wife Joanne, son Aaron (Sarah), and sister Patricia survive him. A veteran of the Korean war, he taught sculpture and design at FSU, MAM, UWM, and MIAD after attending Layton School of Art and earning an MFA from UWM. A memorial was held 2:00 PM on Saturday, October 27, 2012, at Vanguard Sculpture Services, 3374 W Hopkins St. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the VNA Zilber Family Hospice or Repairers of the Breach.
