Whether students choose to pursue a BA or a BFA, all must complete the required Foundations courses. Both the BA and the BFA programs at FSU are interdisciplinary, meaning that students are encouraged to work across media and are given control over the breadth and depth of their educational experience. However, if students would like to pursue an undergraduate-level expertise in a particular subject, they are given the option of completing suggested paths known as focus areas.
The BA degree at FSU is designed to allow students the option of one (1)focus area.
The BFA degree is designed to allow students the option of two (2)focus areas.
Available focus areas and their courses are listed below. Drop-down arrows may be clicked for additional information about each area and course.
Note: Courses listed below can be repeated with instructor permission. The course must be listed as repeatable in the university bulletin. If it is not listed as repeatable, you will not receive credit for repeating the class.
