The Phillis Straus Gallery is pleased to share its plans for their summer session!
Colors, a multimedia exhibit, will open on June 23rd. The exhibition is still seeking out work that explores themes, motifs, theories, and imagery related to color. Whether in real or imagined space; in shared or individualized circumstances; or entirely uninfluenced color has the ability to assume and fulfill many shapes, forms, and roles in our waking lives. Submissions for Colors are still open until June 16th.
On July 12th, the gallery will screen Howl’s Moving Castle, a Studio Ghibli film based on Diana Wynne Jones’ novel of the same name. Director Hayao Miyazaki’s animation style is among the best and most recognized in the world, and he has garnered international acclaim as a storyteller and filmmaker.
Finally, Phyllis Straus Gallery will host Summer Jams on July 21st. More information about Summer Jams is still to come.
