|FSU Art MFA ‘16 Nick Collier will travel to Paonia, Colorado this summer to spend the month of June at Elsewhere Studios. While in residency he plans on making a body of photographic work using his Afghan Box Camera. This work will highlight the local landscape of the Western Rocky Mountains as well as the townspeople of Paonia. Additionally, he plans on building a site specific sculptural installation. The residency will conclude with a show and artist talk.
“I’m really excited about this opportunity for a number of reasons”, said Collier. “Not only will I be traveling to Colorado for the first time, but driving cross country will afford the chance to explore Middle-America as well as work in a new and unfamiliar setting”, adding “it’s also a great follow on to graduation.”
