National Society of Arts and Letters Naomi Winston Scholarship in Art

The Clearwater/Tampa Bay National Society of Arts and Letters Chapter has an Art Competition for young visual artists between the ages of 16 and 22. The scholarship funds are for private study, special training or personal advancement in the applicant’s chosen art medium. The funds can be used for workshops, museum programs, summer programs, etc. The funds cannot be used for college tuition, housing or travel. The maximum amount a first place winner can receive is $5000 of the $10,000 total to be awarded.

The artist must submit, on CD in jpeg high quality format, images of five (5) art works done within the past two years. For additional requirements, eligibility rules and applications, please go to The National Society of Arts and Letters national website: The deadline to send the CD to the Clearwater/Tampa Bay NSAL Chapter is February 3, 2014. The CD will be judged by the chapter judges and if chosen will be sent to the National judges to be considered for awards of a total of $10,000.
