On October 31st, FSU’s Master Craftsman Studios installed a suspended sculpture at the Aero-Propulsion, Mechatronics, and Energy (A.M.E.) Building, off of Levy Avenue, across the street from FSU Foundation.
This piece really energizes the space. The A.M.E. building has a vaulted foyer ceiling. This dynamic suspended sculpture energizes the space perfectly. Each of these rings represents one of these three disciplines. As the installation progresses, spiraling overlays will connect these three areas of study and emphasize the spirit of collaboration between them. Each ring measures 4′ in diameter, the length of this piece measures 15′.
Master Craftsman is very pleased to have been selected by the FSU Office of Research to create this dynamic piece of public art for campus.
