Assistant Professor of Art, Julietta Cheung, recently mounted a site-specific installation at the Roman Susan Foundation in Chicago, IL. Centering on a Washington D.C. newspaper from 1857 entitled, The American, Cheung’s project explores the contemporary definition of “American” via the context of historical public documents. The exhibition consisted of a diptych of inkjet prints, a false wall construction, window film, and a single channel video projection. It ran from January 6 to 26. |
