The Center for Art, Design and Visual Culture (CADVC) presents the MFA Imaging and Digital Arts Thesis Exhibition, featuring works of degree-seeking students of UMBC’s (University of Maryland, Baltimore County) MFA program in Imaging and Digital Art.
This exhibition will include work of graduate students in robotics, photography, performance art and trans materials. The work selected represents the culmination of each student’s unique experience at UMBC’s dynamic and demanding MFA program. As in previous years, the CADVC supports the innovative exhibition through their expertise and exceptional space. This arrangement provides students ample facilities, allowing each the opportunity to showcase multiple pieces, or large installations from their individual thesis work—the manifestation of their three years of research, experimentation, critical thinking and finely-honed skills. To extend the viewing opportunities of the exhibition the Department of Visual Arts, the CADVC created a web-based gallery of imagery of the exhibiting student’s work. The student portfolio section can be accessed through the Department of Visual Arts web site: http://art.umbc.edu/graduate/.
