Horizon: Speculative Worlds and Interdisciplinary Research
Featuring 2025 IDEA Grant and Honors in the Major Recipients from FSU Studio Art
Horizon celebrates the original research and creative innovation of Florida State University’s emerging undergraduate scholars. Showcasing the work of Audrey Lendvay, Antonia Pretelt, Alex Davidoff, Raven Watkins, and Joanna Godfrey; this exhibition highlights the extraordinary achievements of students whose projects were supported through FSU’s IDEA Grants for Creative Research and the Honors in the Major program.
Working across painting, sculpture, installation, printmaking, and interdisciplinary practices, these BFA and BA student-artists investigate speculative worlds, embodied knowledge, ecological futures, cultural memory, and the shifting landscapes of identity and technology. Their research-driven artworks demonstrate the intellectual rigor and imaginative breadth that define contemporary art-making at FSU.
Horizon invites viewers to witness the next generation of artists as they test boundaries, envision new possibilities, and expand the horizon of what undergraduate creative research can be.
