Graphic Artist Needed Nationally Funded Project

Published May 13, 2021

Looking for a graphic artist/illustrator to help with a nationally-funded project focused on the use of photo-novellas to facilitate behavior change in occupational safety and health in the immigrant Latino construction sector. This project develops, implements, and evaluates a multilevel safety intervention for Latino workers in the small-scale residential construction industry.  It is guided by a people-based safety approach (Geller, 2005), which focuses on workers active involvement in addressing safety concerns.  Following NIOSH’s focus on rigorous Research to Practice (r2p) research, our business-academic partnership will engage contractors and workers’ family members in resolving excess injury and death among Latino construction workers. This project was transferred from Oklahoma State University to Florida State University during the COVID19 pandemic and will begin on August 3, 2020. Compensation is based on experience.
