FSU Art MFA ’16 Gaelin Craighead has been chosen to participate in an international artist residency program in Oaxaca, Mexico during the summer of 2016. This month long residency includes private studio space for one month as well as instruction from a master weaver for three weeks. Gaelin hopes to not only master the techniques of back strap weaving, but also to create a series of weavings that document her time in Oaxaca. She will be immersing herself in the culture and tradition of her craft. If you would like to support Gaelin’s residency please visit her fundraising page, https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/459716586/woven-into-culture-artist-residency
