Published September 4, 2014
The Florida State University Coastal & Marine Laboratory challenges YOU to race a boat in our 3rd Annual Whatever Floats Your Boat Regatta taking place on Saturday, October 11, 2014! The overall challenge of this event is to create a homemade “boat” from the list of approved recyclable materials and race your vessel in our regatta race course. The goal is not just to finish the race; staying afloat will do!
- First boat to cross the finish line
- Most creative use of materials
- Titanic Award for the most spectacular failure
- People’s Choice award
So gather your group, build your boat, and get ready to race! Learn more about the regatta here: http://marinelab.fsu.edu/outreach/regatta/, or register for the regatta online here: http://marinelab.fsu.edu/forms/regatta-registration/. Attached is a flyer with more information.
