FSU Art Student Andy Mills Marlowe Featured in Greenville Museum of Art Exhibition

FSU Studio Art BFA ’24 Andy Mills Marlowe  has been included in the Greenville Museum of Art’s (GMoA) summer exhibition, “Growing Up Queer in the South.” The exhibition,  guest curated by Parks McAllister documents both the personal and shared experiences of LGBTQ+ folks through art influenced and inspired by the exhibiting artists’ formative years spent in the American South.

 

The show opened on June 3rd and is set to close September 24th. Marlowe’s piece, “In Through the Outdoor”, meditates on their feelings towards their queer identity as it relates to their body. The show was highlighted by Christie’s as one of the “12 LGBTQ+ exhibitions to see this summer.
