FSU Art Faculty Kevin Curry at Grand Canyon Artist in Residency

I am entering the third and last week of being the Artist in Resident on the south rim of the Grand Canyon. While here, I have been focusing on recording my experiences through painting, drawing and the collection of ’artifacts’ left behind by visitors and tourists.

I recently spent a day working with a group of youths from the Youth Conservation Corp. In the upcoming months, I will be making a presentation about the National Park Service Artist in Residency program as well as my experiences in the program.
