Christina Klein, Department of Fine Arts class of 2017, recently participated in the Autumn Lights Festival in Oakland, California, where her installation, The Quiet Hours, earned third place in the People’s Choice Award.
Constructed with a wood frame to create a fan-vaulted walkway, The Quiet Hours showcases Klein’s craftsmanship and textile skills. She sewed and upholstered the installation using cotton and tinted vinyl fabrics, transforming these materials into an immersive, light-filled experience.
