Ibis is thrilled to present Shared Latitudean exhibition of contemporary landscapes by Florida artist, Mark Messersmith. Through intricate compositions, Messersmith unveils the magnificence of the Gulf Coast ecosystem and its delicate relationship with human expansion.The exhibition will showcase Messersmith’s’ large, realistic paintings with framed structures alongside animated sculpture of flora and fauna. With a distinguished professional history, Messersmith’s artwork has been acquired by prestigious collections, such as The Ogden Museum of Southern Art, The Butler Institute of American Art, Florida State University’s Museum of Fine Art, The Grace Museum, Jacksonville Museum of Modern Art, The Nature Conservancy Florida Chapter, and Tyler Museum of Art. Join us for the Artist’s Reception on Saturday, March 2nd, from 6-9 pm during the New Orleans Arts District’s Art Walk to experience Messersmith’s captivating work and meet the artist himself.
