Dave Gussak Appointed Interim Chair for Department of Art

Dave Gussak, Ph.D., ATR-BC., from the Department of Art Education will serve as Interim Chair of the Department of Art. At the request of Interim Dean Scott Shamp, Professor Gussak will be taking over for Professor Carolyn Henne, as she transitions out of her position as chair since 2011.

Professor Gussak also currently serves as Chair of the Department of Art Education. He will be supported by Anne Stagg, Associate Chair of the Art Department, and Jeff Broome, newly appointed Associate Chair of Art Education. The College of Fine Arts would like to congratulate Professor Gussak on his new interim position.

I wish Carolyn Henne, the former chair of the Dept of Art, the best of everything as she transitions out of the position. She has been an incredible leader for the Department and needless to say has established a very high bar that I hope to be able to graze as I go under it. However, with the wonderful support of all of the faculty and staff, especially Anne Stagg, the indefatigable Associate Chair of the Art Dept, and Jeff Broome, newly appointed and fearless Associate Chair of Art Education, this will be a riveting and unnerving adventure.
