Catherine Schneider is in the 2014 President’s Showcase of Undergraduate Research
As part of winning the 2014 Summer Mentored Research and Creative Endeavor Award, FSU Art BA ’16 Catherine Schneider will be presenting her project at the President’s Showcase of Undergraduate Research on Tuesday, September 30th, 2014 at 5:30 PM in the FSU Augustus B. Turnbull Conference Center.
Her project, titled “Battling Traditional Feminine Roles in the 21st Century”, was supervised by Assistant Teaching Professor Kevin Curry. The actual art piece is titled “Morrígan” and is a medieval style dress made completely out of chainmaille. Eventually polymer clay dragon scales will be applied to specific areas of the exterior. She hopes to complete the dress before the end of the summer semester 2015.
