UFLEX, Situational Cinema: Florida Now & Again
We invite all current undergraduate and graduate film and video makers from Florida universities to submit works for a program in order to gain and exhibit a broad perspective on the scope of contemporary Florida student cinema work. We are looking for thoughtful and thought-provoking work that exhibits curiosity, reflexion, and effort to create new landscapes in cinema.
Please upload your films and/or videos to Vimeo, and submit all entry links (and accompanying passwords), production details, and bios to firstname.lastname@example.org, as we will only be accepting online submissions. However, we are happy to screen selected works finished on 16mm and Super 8mm film. Due to our humble means, unfortunately, we are unable to cover shipping costs. If your piece is selected for programming, you may mail a copy of the film print or DVD to 615 NW 11th Ave, Gainesville, FL 32601. Please keep in mind that if you choose to ship a physical copy of the work that you must cover the cost of shipping both ways, and that the work must be received no later than April 25th. All selected entries will otherwise be screened directly from the Internet. All works submitted must be completed by artists currently in school. No works in progress will be accepted.
