Call for Art for The Crafted Narrative Exhibition

Work is currently being sought for The Crafted Narrative, a collaborative exhibition between Limestone University & Florida State University. The Crafted Narrative will feature art that exemplifies the importance of creative storytelling through visual, audio, and written media. Submissions should consider personal stories as well as the recollection of mythological, religious, and historical narratives across time. Alternatively, submissions may reflect on the story of the artist’s creative process. Selected works will be curated by students working in the Limestone University Gallery in Gaffney, South Carolina, and documented in an exhibition catalog compiled by art students enrolled at Florida State University in Tallahassee, Florida.

 Artists are invited to submit works to the Art Director, Emily Tuttle, at etuttle@limestone.edu. Applicants must include clear images (jpeg or pdf) of their works and a brief statement about how the piece relates to the theme of the show (max 250 words).In this description include your name as you would wish to see it on an exhibition label, title of the work, the media of your work, size, and year of creation. Both 2D and 3D works will be considered. The deadline for submissions is October 31, 2021. The exhibit will run December 13th – January 21st , with a reception on January 14th . *Limestone University retains the right to use images of exhibited works in promotional materials.

Fee: Please note that fees are paid through the Limestone University Alumni Association, who has supported the arts at our institution for many years. The link will describe your payment as a donation, and allow applicants to enter their $15 fee that will serve as a contribution toward the printing of the exhibition catalog, gallery maintenance, and the reception of what will surely be a wonderful exhibition. Multiple works of art or small series may be submitted under one fee. Fees can be paid  here
