Job Description:
Alabama State University, College of Visual and Performing Arts, Visual Department invites applications to fill the position of Graphic design Assistant Professor.  The successful candidate will teach 3 to 4 courses per semester, to include all levels of Graphic Design, from introductory to advanced classes, Art Appreciation classes for non-art majors, and have future opportunities to introduce classes in his/her area of expertise; academic advising; serve on department, college and university committees; keep office hours (minimum of 10 hours weekly per semester for spring and fall semester to cover a Monday thru Friday workweek); scholarly research; participation in student reviews and activities and perform other duties as assigned.

Examples of Duties:
Minimum Qualifications:
Master’s of Fine Arts degree in graphic design or related terminal degree is required.  Curatorial and exhibition experience is desirable, as well as experience teaching a diverse student population in a digital learning environment to include online course offerings at the college/university level.
