Art Scholarships for ROME – Summer abroad 2014

Published November 24, 2013

Launched in 2009, the Rome Art Program is designed to inspire participants to expand their artistic vision through painting and drawing on the streets of Rome – expanding on the plein-air tradition of generations of artists.

In the artistic center of Rome, participants will become part of the fabric of the city as they paint and draw directly from millennia-old landmarks, in gardens, piazzas, along hidden streets, and in iconic churches and museums. The curriculum will be complemented by art historian-led field trips, receptions at the American and British Academies, and trips to the city’s diverse contemporary art galleries.
