Anne Stagg’s work featured in Last Exit: Painting

Published September 30, 2015

In 1981 Tom Lawson wrote “Last Exit: Painting,” an essay putting painters on the defensive, directly holding each artist accountable for using paint as a medium. On the brink of that essay’s 35th anniversary the BAC is hosting a show based on the same principle. In those 35 years painting has changed a good deal and here is an opportunity to prove painting’s eternal potential.

The show will be featured in the fall issue of the Miami Rail including a new interview with Tom Lawson about his current stance on painting.

Featured Paintings by: Sayre Gomez, Mauricio Gonzalez, Javier Hernandez, Siebren Versteeg, Joan Lesikin, Anthony Hamilton, Paul Glenn, Grace Cummings, Lauren Matsumoto, Meg Aubrey, Rebecca Franco, Kim Moore, Laura Sharp Wilson, Natan Pernick, Jason John, Juan Neira, Melissa Lowry Mosley, Paola Gracey, Sean Miller, Dana Donaty, Anne Stagg, Julio Figueroa Beltran, Boryana Rusenova Ina, Vincent Serbin, Jeff Carpenter and, Lily Kuonen.
