Our Summer Workshop program is underwritten by the many gifts, donations of art, and special event proceeds Anderson Ranch receives each year. Tuition charged does not cover all the costs of the individual workshops; all participants are subsidized by those contributions. In addition, we are dedicated to offering opportunities to promising artists and increasing access to our programs for a diverse group of participants.
Applications for scholarship support are encouraged. In 2010, approximately 20% of our workshop participants received some level of scholarship support; our goal is to offer the same level of support in 2011. Specific scholarships are funded by Ranch supporters, both individuals and foundations, either through endowed funds or special gifts. We are grateful for these important gifts; a complete list of supporters is available in our Annual Report.
