“I had the pleasure of being featured in the September/October issue of Tallahassee Magazine, where I got to share how theories of holding and memory entangle themselves in my work. In an interview with author Amanda Karioth Thompson, I explained how I use my old childhood drawings that my parents held onto for decades to recreate them onto ceramic forms. By working directly with these preserved memories, I immortalize a past based in love and hold space for that silly, expressive kid to openly share parts of herself.” – Jillian Heusohn
