ACRE Summer Artist Residency Program
The ACRE Residency Program takes place every summer in rural Southwest Wisconsin. Created to support emerging visual artists, sound artists, musicians, performers, writers, and curators, the program offers a space for artistic growth within a collaborative and supportive community. Artists are invited to expand upon their individual practices as well as take part in optional programming within a collaborative community.

- Session 1: June 18 – July 1, 2025
- Session 2: July 9 – 22, 2025
- Session 3: July 30 – August 12, 2025
Facilities & Amenities
Residency participants will have access to expansive communal workspaces and specialized studios:
- Studios: Screen-printing, woodshop, ceramics, fibers, art & tech, and sound studios
- Meals: Two meals daily plus a light breakfast, all prepared with locally sourced ingredients
- Accommodations: Shared housing with individual bathrooms and kitchenettes
After completing the residency, ACRE provides alumni with extended opportunities for professional development, exhibition, network-building, and community engagement. These initiatives are complemented by other ACRE programs designed to cultivate a robust, enduring arts network.
We offer scholarships based on merit and need. Applicants can request consideration for scholarships during the application process.
