Launched in 2009, Rome Art Program (RAP) inspires students to develop their artistic vision through painting and drawing on the streets of Rome, expanding on the plein air tradition of earlier generations of artists. The Program has an international faculty of working artists, art historians, critics, and visiting artists.
RAP welcomes students pursuing their B.F.A. and M.F.A. degrees in Fine Art, as well as students of Art History, Architecture, Photography, Design, and Filmmaking, who seek to expand their understanding of Fine Art by acquiring an understanding of plein air practice. Rome Art Program is a New York State registered 501(c)(3) not-for-profit educational organization.
